All right everyone. I've tidied a few other threads away so that we can have one clear thread for the upcoming sessions. Let me lay this out for you:
Next week (17th October) there will be 2 sessions run.
Group 1: Going through the Underdark and entering the Twilight base from below, raiding the base and destroying the operations there, alongside scores of orcs.
Group 2: Taking part in the huge battle above ground, where the combined Erina, Bullywug, Grung and Daring Heights forces will be taking the Twilight head-on, and where Keladry is expected to be found overseeing the battle.
We want to know who can make it, and which group you'd like to be a part of.
Fun facts: -A few catapults have been constructed by a local gnomish engineer -Aurelia, a powerful wizard, will join the battle on your side -The other local NPC adventurers will be at the battle, so you won't be the only people with class levels there -The priests of Waukeen (those that are left) and their recently arrived contingent of Paladins will be there -No one has spoken to Granny about this battle whatsoever.
Oh, and to remind you, Mayor Daffles has agreed to lend his full support on one key condition: He pays for the soldiers. You pay for the funerals.

I will be there for the session and would prefer to take the underdark.
Good point regarding Granny. I will.go and pay her a little visit.

Hi Andy and all.
After a long rest period Grimes and I are ready to get back in the action. (Recovery time getting longer these days - enjoy your youth young'uns!)
Fellow adventurers and warriors will know Grimes can handle himself in a fight and has good healing capabilities at level 4. The dark holds no fears for him but he will fight where it serves the collective cause best.
Thanks

Andy - fed up with clanking about at a disadvantage - Grimes wishes to acquire a black (painted?) Breastplate.
Is that available in Kantas and what would the cost be?
Cheers
Pete

Standard market price is 400gp (Breastplates are expensive!). However, the blacksmith is currently churning out a bunch of them for the coming battle and can knock that down to 300gp. If you don't have that much, he's happy to give it to you on loan, as he'd rather you didn't die, and you can pay him back later. He'd still need a third up front, so a 100gp deposit.

300GP is fine - Grimes has been saving apart from board and lodging costs. He'll pay 300GP plus a 30GP tip for the rush job and "black paint job" :-)
Thanks Andy - no more stealth disadvantage - yay!

And I've also had a 'Assume I'll be there, pending work being mad' from Jett/Galen!

Grimes descended the stairs at the back of the inn and walked steadily and purposefully towards the table where Val was sitting. No trace of a limp remained although the "perma-frown" was still present on Grimes' face. 'Val Mox' Grimes said directly and then held out an open hand as if to calm the already stiffening and wary Val. 'We have fought side by side a few times and, whilst in another place and time we would not be friends or allies, you have proven brave and true when it has counted.' Grimes pauses as if he is distracted - perhaps remembering another time and place although one that brings him pain - and then continues: 'The battle to come will not be won easily or without great cost nor will it be won through honour and fighting clean but it must be won. I stand ready and offer both my counsel and my sword. If you have no objections I'll accompany you.' Just before Val starts to speak Grimes adds: 'Just remember boy - wars aren't won by dying for your cause but by making the other bastards die for theirs!' A thin smile just about breaks surface on Grimes' face......

Val smiles and stands, firmly clutching the Paladins hand, "Good to see you on your feet again. We'll need your sword in battle."
