So here I was, standing in front of a petrified Celina, trying to stop this big-person statue from smishing her. Celina had been sneaky and magicly nabbed the statue's ball'o'magix from its outstretched hand. A snakey haired lady had been hiding in a pool a little way of, and promptly emerged from the shallows, catching Celina's eye and turning her to stone!
All the smashy biggees got excited and rushed over to snakey lady and gave her a good bashing. I duplicated myself and sent over my mirror to dance around snakey-lady, to hopefully annoy her a bit and distract her from hurting the biggees.
I felt a ZAP and glanced over to Deimos, Oziah's hungry looking horse. The poor guy's crying out for a good bale (or 100) of hay. Can't do one's luck any good riding round on a nobbly horse! I must ask Oziah how she deals with the bruises. Anyway, Deimos looks me in the eyes and we mutually realise we 'GOT AWAY WITH SOMETHING'. Don't know what's been happening as of late -- know I'm lucky (i'm a sneaky Luck cleric!), But for some reason my luck's been rubbing off on my chums. I'm owed a pint! Wonder if horses are allowed into bars? Bet I can out drink 'em.
All of sudden though the pesky statue Celina
annoyed earlier comes to life and goes for me! Bash! It whips it's stony hand across my face, which really smarts!
What to do, what to do? I'm only diddy and worry the statue might turn her attentions to Celina if I'm not careful. I really like Celina -- she's dead cheeky and up for mischief. No way I'm letting anyone hurt her. I've even given her one of my lucky rock necklaces (maybe it's not big enough though, given she got turned to stone). There are two options open to me. i fight, or try to see if the ball'o'magix, somehow, might distract the statue. I toss a mental dice, and ball'o'magix it is! I turn my back on the statue (it swipes and misses!) I reach down and grab the ball, and try and chuck it behind the statue -- I totally fluff it and the ball flies 4 feet! A 4 year old attempting the Shot Put would have done a better job… . The statue's confused, I'm confused, Celina's confused (well, let's imagine she is), but as o' great lady of luck would have it, the statue turns and goes after the ball! I put on a really angry pout and wait for the statue to come for us again...
At the same time, the big smashy gang were bashing snakey-lady in a far corner, and I guess one of the captain-smashies really biffed it one cos it dropped dead. Which stopped the statue in its tracks, turning it back to just a regular statue. Phew!
Poor Celina! All the fighting's over but she's still basically a big Celina shaped rock! Although rocks are pretty awesome so I guess worse come to worse I could maybe shine her up a bit, and she'd make an excellent lucky rock necklace for one of the biggees.
We lug Celina back to base on the back of Deimos. The biggees were all complaining about getting her up these stairs, but ain't that what biggees for? Lugging stuff. It's been a lovely journey back. Celina and I have been chatting about all sorts of stuff, like how awesome luck is, how luck favours those with big stone necklaces, how fun it is to bug the biggees, sneaking flowers, stickyweed and just any thing lying around onto their persons. Just seems the right thing to do. And it's so funny when they find out they are covered! Must be lucky. Celina's a bit quiet, but I guess being turned to stone does that to you.
Celina's left in the centre of the church of Lathander (or Celune? They are all the same to me) waiting for someone to cast a spell to de-stoneify her. I worry that Celina is a bit gray looking, now being a rock and all, and that when she's de-stoned, she wont get her colour back . I rush out and buy some kids colouring paints and a great big paint brush. Several hours later, Celina looks AWESOME! Admittedly I could only find green, blue and red paint so she looks a bit eccentric, and the colours have run a bit, but I am sure she will be happy with the makeover. What to do now though? To give the depetrification spell the most luck possible, I decide to really go to work with gathering nearby flowers and grass and stuff and then COATING Celina in lady luck herself's own living flower (and crap) body wrap. Celina looks WONDERFUL!
I'm a bit tired at this point, and feel my eyes getting heavy. I potter over to a pew in the church just to rest my eyes and fall asleep. When I wake, Celina is gone!
I know she will LOVE her makeover. And I know too that if the destoning spell didn't work, than someone like Varga will be walking round wearing the most wonderfully lucky Celina shaped rock necklace… biggees like that sort of thing.
