Wanese Cold Noodles and Battered Squid
By Lord Jaezred Vandree

AUTHOR'S NOTES:
This week's recipe comes from the island nation of Wa in Kara-Tur and inspired by the author's most recent adventure. You, reader, have no doubt heard of the mysterious door that appeared on the beach of Port Ffirst one day. I stepped through the door with a few others and discovered an astral sea forced into a small demiplane-esque space. A lovely and charming alhoon had infiltrated the place and frozen the space's wizardly caretaker in time before she could slay him, who created the door in the hopes that someone would come to help her. Alas, despite my rapport with him, he had to die. As I prepared this dish, the cold, slimy squid and noodles reminded me of his wonderful, tentacular caresses on my skull as he tried to pull my brain out...At least, I got to keep his stone chair-throne.
IN MEMORY OF Ostixas. May whatever gods the illithid revere welcome him into their tentacled embrace.
