The following letter was addressed to Coll at Fort Ettin, who read it, scratched his head, and then put it up on the board, following the instructions of a card enclosed with the letter.
"Merla,
I understand that you and your companions would like the opportunity for some revenge against King Ulorian. You may not be aware, but to resolve conflicts between Archfey, one of the acceptable methods is the Public Duel. In a duel, one may name one or a small group as your Seconds, to fight in your stead.
I issued a challenge to the River King earlier this morning. Do gather a few of your more aggrieved companions and take my place.
The duel takes place in a few weeks, at a location of Ulorian's choosing. I believe I can play on his vanity sufficiently that the River King will face you personally. Details to come.
