Musical vibes for you:
It's a cool afternoon by the side of the road leading from Daring Heights to Port Ffirst. A young, plainly dressed figure sits on a simple cloth sheet, food spread out before them. Small pastries from Paradise Frost, freshly picked berries, freshly baked bread and small pots of various delicious spreads. Upon their head sits a beautifully intricate crown of flowers, not quite living, not quite filagree, but a strange mix. One of the small berries seems to float for a second before disappearing. The young figure has a kind smile on their face.
"Yes Puck I remember, we followed you after you explained that you needed help and then you shrunk us down. Yes that's right we went to go see your wonderful mother who explained about the rats terrorizing your food stores. No of course I wasn't scared haha, I'm a big strong adventurer. And besides, I always have a habit of helping people out of danger, and that includes myself. Now, you were in the middle of telling me what happened. That's right, Saffron was being a big meanie and wouldn't let you two come wasn't she. But you two were very good and stayed out of danger like you were asked. Do you remember what happened next? Yes that's right! We fought the rats. There was me, Gรผtts, Faefix, Faust and Marcelo. I know! They were all so impressive! Me? No I didn't do much, I couldn't bring myself to shoot the rats and mostly just sat back with you guys and made sure everyone stayed safe. Aw you're too kind, I really am happy that you say that. Did you see the way Marcelo cut down that first rat with all the lights around it? And Faephix's excellent shot on the second? They're very skilled adventurers. Do you want to be adventurers you two? Of course you do haha, I didn't expect anything less. Teach you? Oh I'm sorry I don't know if I can, I'm not very good with weapons and my magics are not something that can be taught, they're..."
Their face seems to sadden for a moment as they stare at the ground, seemingly trapped in thought. Suddenly they perk back up.
"Oh of course, thank you for reminding me Elva, I have this perfectly good slice of cake I haven't even touched!"
It's several minutes later that the figure begins standing up.
"Now I'm sorry you two but I really have to be off, you know how furious your mother would be if I kept you. No no, no arguments. I promise I'll come back though, next time I might even teach you some of my more mundane ways of helping people, that way you can go out into the world and help others! Doesn't that sound great!"
They begin walking off with a cheerful smile and a pack full of a partially eaten picnic, waving to thin air as they go.
It's getting late as the young medic spots the imposing gates of Fort Ettin. Those two are so sweet, so young. They shouldn't become adventurers, no one should. No one should seek out conflict, even if it's for a good cause. But they'll do what they can, teach them the ways of healing and protection. Who knows, perhaps they may find some purpose in it like Richart found theirs. But pray to Helm they do not seek adventure, throwing themselves to their deaths in some empty sense of glory, they've seen far too much of that for one life. Richart stares at their reliquary for perhaps a second too long before shaking themselves and heading into their home.
