The alleyway is quiet, the only sounds the distant chatter of people that occasionally drifts in when the wind blows a certain way. Wren gives one more slow look at the two entrances to the alleyway before they pull a fist sized statuette from their pocket, a small crocodile carved into it.
Stripes patiently waits on the ground by Wren’s feet, seemingly intrigued by the strange object being held out uncertainly.
“I have no idea how big a crocodile is Stripes, I think this alley will be okay?”
Stripes lies down, laying their head on their front paws, still patiently waiting for something to happen.
“Okay, okay. I’ll just get on with it then”
They throw down the statuette, but before it impacts the ground it transforms mid air. Emitting a bright light as the material distorts and grows, and before they know it, there’s a crocodile in front of Wren looking at them expectedly.
The three attendants of this impromptu alleyway meeting eye each other up, all remaining silent until Wren simply states, “Woahh you have some awesome teeth there, can I see ‘em?”
The crocodile huffs some air out their nostrils, maybe amused, before slowly opening their jaw wide to display the impressive array of sharp teeth. Wren begins to say something else before the croc snaps their jaw shut to look at them, the sound making Stripes jump up in surprise. There’s a sparkle to Wren’s eyes as they give an appreciative grin to their snappy new friend.
“Alright Snap I like your attitude. I didn’t really summon you for a particular purpose today, but you wanna chill in the warm with us while I write a mission report?”
Snap eyes Wren one more time before giving a smaller confirming snap of their jaws and following the teen and their badger out the alley.

Objective:
Assist Amelie and Genine Pierre-Vielle in the requisition of their family estate from multiple ghost entities.
Protect the sisters during their casting of a ritual on the estate grounds that will guarantee the fulfillment of previously stated objective.
Sub Objective:
Retrieve specific book from the drawing room within the estate.

Details:
Reported to the Pierre-Vielle sisters in town, debriefed on sister’s want to reclaim estate via the use of a magic ritual that would be lead and performed by Genine. To achieve this Genine would also need a leather bound book located within the drawing room of house.
Informed that ghost entities taking on form of their deceased relatives were still present in house. Some of their powers originated from the involvement of Genine’s efforts, but with her now aware of what they really are and on our side, their powers should be subdued. Subdued but still very dangerous.
Team approached and entered estate with no issues. Only way to access the drawing room with the sisters safely escorted was by entering front door and through hallways to destination.
Genine informed us that due to her connection to the summoning of the ghost entities in the house, she could sometimes detect the presence of the entities if she paused and concentrated. Before entering house she confirmed presence of 3 entities.
Traversing house led to no incidents, and safely arrived at drawing room door. House still in delaperdated and ruined state as seen when previously in house to rescue Genine. Inspection of door by Heret, and room by Veridian’s owl companion Nyra, revealed no ambush waiting for us. Genine couldn’t sense entities inside.
Entered room with no incident. Genine quickly went to inspect bookshelf for the required book, and first of ghostly entities appeared shortly after. As before the entity had the appearance of the sister’s deceased relatives. Entity made an attempt to attack Genine but team held them off.
Book found, Genine and Amelie retreated with team flanking. Heret finished off ghost entity as team leaving room. Sub-objective success.
Team quickly escorted sisters to the back garden to carry out ritual. Garden contained a large cleared area containing a statue of Tiamat with a smaller statue of a red dragon perched at it’s base. Genine and Amelie placed three urns in front of these statues and began the ritual magic by standing in the middle of the placed urns.
As ground lit up with arcane symbols, other 2 ghost entities made an appearance. A large entity appeared on top of Igrainne and smaller one by Cadfan, both made strong biting attacks at team. But team was not their main objective. Both entities switched to making attacks on the sisters, the magic being cast flickered at points, but Genine held strong until she went down.
Genine went down multiple times, though large entity was successfully removed from her space by Faye at first but it kept coming back. Both ghost entities eliminated by team. But their abilities in un-undeath led to Amelie then taking a fatal blow, an explosion of un-death that rippled out from them after being eliminated.
Genine managed to finish the ritual even with Amelie’s recently deceased body next to her. When finished the red dragon statue started to glow and grew into the spirit into a large red dragon, its presence towering over the sisters and team.
Genine and dragon spirit spoke in a language I did not understand (presumably draconic) before the dragon breathed out flames that did not hurt us and flew off across the estate and into the sky.
The statue had returned to its normal size, and Amelie revealed to have been resurrected by the dragon spirit.
Both sisters escorted off the estate and back to town to rest. Estate confirmed to be free of entities and fully belong to them once again.
Conclusion:
First objective successful. Second objective failed.
House was reclaimed by sisters, but death (and quick revival) of Amelie means we failed to keep them safe.
Must do better at keeping others safe.
