Upon his return to Fort Ettin Leaper will march into the main hall, step up onto a table and in a deep booming voice declare:
"Lo! The tale of how the beast chief was slain by the six and six
For on that fine day six did step out from these great halls of Fort Ettin
And there was the warrior of moon, Seraphena. Whose horns betrayed her holy intent
With her walked Gilbaron, who was of small stature and smaller strength, but crackling with magic
By their side was the mighty Oziah, whose steely gaze was even greater than her steely strength!
Also walked from those halls did stride Sparks-and-Shade, whose small frame belied his mighty powers of stealth
Tayz did fly above them, that bird of strange skies whose magic aided those he met
And beside these five strode Kjempe Desomsnakkermedfjell, he of the great northen mountains, whose very hands could crush skulls!
Thus did the six walk from these halls, confident in step, to the village of the Galavir
They walked for a day and a night before reaching that place, so was their determination
And upon their arrival they were greeted by the one called Harlech, he of the club
It was there that they were told of their quest, a party of elves stolen from the Galavir, awaiting their fate
There were the six met with another six, all elves, numbering Harlech among them
And so the six and six struck off through the mountains. Tracking paths old and new
It was then did they come across the markings of the group, four elves had passes through there not three days ago
The three hunters, Leaper and two of the elven six did begin to track these trails, leading the six and six through the glorious mountain passes
From there did they reach a site of battle, for clearly the elven four had not gone willingly
They continued their tracks through the night, before coming to the camp of the gnolls
There did they see a bloody sight, a raised arena of gnoll and elf, surrounded in blood
And from the arena came a trail of the blood, pooling at the bottom where hyenas did lap
After the scouting of the others it was decided that a distraction was to be made
Gilbaron and Sparks, those of small statue but large power did cause fire and noise
But as this happened the great Kjempe did grab Oziah and leap forty, nae fifty, feet into this encampment with a great cry upon his lungs!
It was then that the fighting did truly begin. They were a wash of blades, felling several gnolls
It was then that the leader of the gnolls appeared, for it was the size of the man of mountains! Nae bigger!
And upon its face a cruel grin did rest, and in its hand did it carry a cruel axe! *Leaper shakes the axe in front of him*
Our heroes were not affeered though, for they withstood the blows and menace of the creature, one through grit and one through thrill
It was then that the warriors responded in earnest, and the great beast was frightened! For the two together were unstoppable!
Oziah landed many a blow on the creature, but more blows were landed by the noble goliath, as he cut into the beast, shrugging off the blows of the beasts around him!
Finally after a brutal and bloody fight did Leaper behead the beast in one clean blow! Causing the savage gnolls around to panic! *Leaper is now proudly holding the head above his own*
They did hunt down the gnolls in bloody fashion, axes and magic flying every which way! *Leaper is now holding the pelt of the chief gnoll in front of him*
Much blood was spilt that day, but the elves were recovered, only one having died before they arrived
And thus ends this tale, but there are many more to tell, as there are many glorious battles still to be fought by those who hear these tales I am sure!"
He gets off the table and over to the bar, there will be much celebration tonight...
