Rolled into a hand sized tube is a piece of nondescript parchment around a notice from the Adventure Board in the Three Headed Ettin. The parchment is written in a mix of common, symbols, and elvish.
ASSIGNMENT REPORT #1
People/Organisations of Note:
Jenna – mage, human, female
Veridan – mage, human, male
Ziarae – magic user (pact with Other Entity, possible devil/demon?), human[?], female; Imp familiar
Terciel – holy warrior (god unknown), half elf (sun), male
Toothy – berzerker, drow, male
Osborin – verse-maker, half elf (aquatic), male
Priestess Maria Rillome – holy warrior (Tiamat), kobold (copper), female
Herio Diamondback – merchant, kobold (white), male
Eva Minotaurhoof – merchant, minotaur, female
“Philipus Direheart” – contact, orc, male
Locations:
Daring Heights – town, Dawnlands
Kundar – metropolis, past “Sunset Spine” near desert, Dawnlands
Vierk – settlement, border of Harnash (country)
Gadenthor – fallen ancient Netherese metropolis, Harnash
Trecorvum – city at the base of Gaddinthor, Harnash
Body:
Made small talk with the “adventurers” before being teleported to Kundar by the mage Jenna. The desert metropolis is spread out and built into a huge canyon. Kobolds appear to be the majority of the population whilst Dragonborns are second, followed by Tabaxi and Minotaurs. Crowded streets, narrow and windy alleys, bright sun, blistering heat even as Winter encroaches nearer. Merchants everywhere. Opportunities abound.
Priestess Maria gave us our assignment – escort Herio and Eva to the country of Harnash, skirting the desert proper. 6 day journey in total. One encounter with kruthik. Quick dispatch of the monstrosity kept the caravan safe. Might have shown off too much during the fight were it not for the verse-maker being so starved for attention he took it upon himself to make the fight into a performance.
The desert night skies have many stars. It is beautiful.
Once in Harnash we met the locals - mostly orcs, goliaths, tabaxi, centaurs, gnoms – very jovial, dressed lightly, with few to little weapons, all very built. (NB: one of the adventurers mentioned the term “swol”. Must be a Dawnlands term.) Despite the appearance of physical prowess, the people are not martially proficient or battle hardened; purely for “aesthetic pleasure” do they work out their bodies.
Gadenthor can be gotten to by way of a jungle “road”, ill kept and difficult to navigate at times if unfamiliar with the terrain or without a guide. The once flying city is still largely intact though it fell at an angle that means it is jammed into the earth. What little information gathered about the ancient city says something calamitous happened, possibly with what controlled and allowed it to fly.
Additional points of interest, re Trecorvum:
Returned to DH via teleportation circle at the Arch-Netheril Campus on 15 day of The Rotting. The mage, Veridan, retrieved the teleportation sigils of Trecorvum and passed them on to Jenna.
Report passed on 16 day of The Rotting.
Neh diis lus’a, lus diis’a.
Dear Adventurers,
You’ve done me a great service lately, and so I’d like to give you an opportunity I think you’ll appreciate. Have you been to Harnash? I have a small caravan of goods heading that way shortly and I’d appreciate an escort for it. Meet me at the Red Shrine of Our Queen Tiamat at your earliest convenience and I’ll get you set up.
I think you’ll like Harnash. Prep for a long journey.
Sincerely,
Priestess Maria Rillome

Additional points of interest, re Trecorvum:
- The Arcanetheril (mages) study Gadenthor, attempting to learn its secrets
The Delvers are tasked with finding artefacts – only a fraction of it has been explored/uncovered - Secular society – many verse-makers are healers, no holy presence?
Gladiatorial arena - Many materials and goods flowing into the city from different places
- The Vasillium – network of tree teleportation within Trecorvum
- Guild of Detectives – investigating mysteries in Trecorvum and Gadenthor
- “Philipus Direheart” – contact for further future exploitations; backdoor network of the Vasillium
- Barter system > gold – being generous here, they will be generous back; “Always give more.”
