Sorry if I have done the title wrong, it has been a while since I've managed to do one of these. Please let me know if I need to change it.
I tried to add an audio file as well but I'm not sure if it worked.
Session write up
To the tune of “Matty Groves":
A cat cafe, a cat cafe
And the first one in port first
An open mic night they did have
Could it have gone worse
The night was meant for poetry
Till magic went awry
A drunken man, a cat, a spell
And sound from all did fly
There was no speech, there were no words
No sounds that could be heard
Only the music of the lute
No poems or spoken word
Some heroes who were there that night
They began then to sing
To their delight, they found that with the sound their ears did ring
Idari found a tiny cat, while Haimish played a jig
The panicking customers for song cared not a fig
When to Haimish the cat spoke the story did come out
A broken tower a stolen key straight from the kitty’s mouth
The key had been dropped by the door
It seemed the spell to reverse
Suddenly words they could speak
And a limerick they had to rehearse
They sat and wrote the limerick
But sadly did not win
Though they had saved the cafe
They didn’t gain a thiiing
(that last verse it was a lie, they got a few gold each
But it was not much to be told, and it wouldn’t far reach)
P.S This leaves a lot out unfortunately but I couldn’t fit the rest to the song. The DM was Dasha, who recorded a wonderful song, and the players were me(Tamsin) as Camwyna, Abdurahman playing Ivan Errikson, Jamie playing Dwirhian, Jay playing Idari Shortcrust and Jim as Wee Mad Haimish. Also we did get more of a reward, just not for the poetry.
