Work starts. 1320gp hard oak purchased for the frame. Wood is dry and bends well, must return to OMTC for the hull.

One of the idiot workers broke one of the main frame frame spits. Fired immediately. Must get better workers! Otherwise frame is coming along

The frame is complete! 100ft long and 30 ft high. Have reinforced the bow too - good for ramming. Just to stand in the middle and down, I can already feel the presence of The Avernus II.
2 Marpenoth
Another trip to the OMTC for 1200gp worth of larch wood, also ordered several vats of boiled linseed oil for 120gp, to arrive later. Planks will be overlapped for durability and nailed to the frame.

The hull is complete, and the oil has arrived just in time. Checked all over, workmanship is good, no gaps across the frame. Varnishing began yesterday - we mixed the linseed oil with birch-tar, so the hull will be pitch black, just like the Avernus.

Another firing - one of the workers spilled a whole barrel of oil resin on the floor. Made her clean it up before she left. Terrible. But the others are acceptable, and the hull is now varnished and sealed!
