• Alenea, Wren, Whistler, Laurel, and Jaezred answered Greebo’s call for help. They hired a wagon and a drover named Lucille at the stables and off they went to the Sunset Spines.
• They camped in the same spot as before, a hill with hoofprints and scorch marks on it. Whistler was enthralled by the talking cat. The talking cat was pampered.
• They arrived at the dao's lair (which we have taken the liberty to name The Onyx Gallery) three days later. Whistler shoved one of Greebo’s gemstones into a wall near the pool of statues and a cave mouth opened up.
• The dao apparated within the cave, which is basically a museum of petrified humanoids. She accused the adventurers of being thieves once more. Since beauty comes in many different forms, she asked for a “performance” as an offering — i.e. a performance of battle. Jaezred laughed and casted Faerie Fire on her. Combat begins.
• The dao released the medusa from the massive sarcophagus again, but Greebo casted Suggestion on her in order to get her to attack her captor, the dao. The dao animated the petrified statues to attack her foes, resulting in the Butler punching Greebo. However, she is quickly forced to retreat under the barrage of arrows and spells. Her body melts into a black tar and she disappears.
• The medusa rushed forward to where the dao was and picked up a few gemstones from the puddle of tar. No one in the party tried to stop her as she shoved a gem into the wall and escaped to the outside world. A medusa is now on the loose in the Sunset Spine.
• The adventurers examined the sarcophagus and saw that there is a silver mirror within the face mask portion of the lid, though it is strangely not reflective. They also found an egg-shaped stone in the tar and put it into a pedestal with an egg-shaped groove near the pool, which made the stone project some pleasant colours and patterns like a "Windows 95 screensaver" (Toby's words, not mine).
• They were able to get the Butler’s petrified form and one other statue back to Daring Heights.
