Moving into The Thirsty Dragon has been fantastic for Justice. She is much happier here and it shows in how well things went this week. The atmosphere at the Seashank made training her very difficult. She is still not quite sure why the cats are so small but she knows they're friendly. They are a bit wary still so we're staying downstairs for too long yet. They have had a stressful time as it is.
It was not good for me either. I want to help this town and the people in it but bearing the weight of filthy countertops and putting money aside in favour of properly caring for myself and my equipment is not how I'm going to accomplish that. Plus, the cats here need protection. They've been kidnapped once and Cut Nippius is still at large, they need someone here who can keep whatever he is at bay.
Maybe I am making excuses to allow myself to spend money on me and Justice instead of working towards the down payment on an office. The dragon is expensive, I admit. I just don't know.
Overall, it feels better being here than there. I definitely think I can make a home here.
Todo:
- Rework savings plan. New rent is high and I've been missing jobs lately.
- Go to Ffirst Mail and check for a response from Aurelia.
- Tell leather worker that barding will need to be delayed due to changes in finances.
