Escort diplomat Girelle to a meeting within Jarvenol with the town’s mayor, Gianna Madhand.
Investigate possible Vanguard activity in underground parts of Jarvenol (Secretive Objective)

Met with Girelle in Zot Goran, briefed on main objective and secret objective.
Told to find an underground place of worship recently found in Jarvenol, and investigate what the Vanguard wanted from this place.
Girelle discussed the appearance of Vanguard members in many different circles of society, so has been cautious with information gathering and contacts.
Escorted Girelle to Jarvenol via hill wagon.
Meeting with Gianna successful, business deal of magical fort building agreed upon. Jarvenol still rebuilding from destruction caused in war.
Team scouted for underground ruins during the night. Found group wearing red masks (signature of Vanguard) huddled around a particular ruin.
Scouting successful.
Guards to underground entrance eliminated.
Entered underground tunnels/labyrinth.
Noted recurring theme of large stone minotaur statues wearing red copper masks with V-shaped gold inlay that served as part of door mechanism (there were many doors).
Tracked group of Vanguard members to room containing large rotating stone pyramid raised on dias, covered in glowing blue symbols.
Pyramid surrounded by 8 Vanguard members and 2 fiends.
One Vanguard member was noticeably more armed than the others, a minotaur donned in golden armor emblazoned with a red V shape.
6 Vanguard members and fiends eliminated.
Golden armor Vanguard member proved formidable in combat, able to escape room while carrying mysterious artefact obtained from stone pyramid.
Myself, Mathew, and Bones pursued. Target lost in the labyrinth.
Other team members interrogated remaining Vanguard member.
Information gained: Labyrinth was named the Cathedral of the Vanguard. The group’s aim was to use artefact retrieved from stone pyramid to find more ‘glowy symbols/seals’.
Vanguard member handed over to local custody.
Information discreetly communicated with Girelle.
