Now this is interesting… I've seen this before but I can't quite place where? It definitely didn’t spin round like that last time I saw it though… why is it doing that? Maybe I should try touching it… I just... can't seem to reach it….
That's what was going through his head at any rate. What Markas actually said was:
"Huuurnnnnphmem…."
It takes a solid minute before realisation dawns on Markas that the 'thing' spinning in front of him is actually a wall. It takes another minute or so to realise that it isn't even the wall.
Laying on the floor of his room in the Gilded Mirror, arm feebly reaching to the ceiling, Markas wakes from his troubled dreams into the nightmare that is the worst hangover of his life. He hasn't felt like this since Tugark bought the bar in lightning Bay…. He hasn't even DRANK since the lightning Bay incident…
He tries to stand and agrees with the pounding in his head and the sudden attack from the floor that it's probably a bad idea before drifting off again. It's dark outside anyway, getting up can wait….
Several hours later he wakes again, head still pounding worse than when the Ettin caught him… Oh right. The war was last week… He came home and was sad about…. Oh. yes…. Then he went out drinking and…. something?
Stumbling up and over to the bedside table, he finds a small parcel with his name on it. He sits, immediately falling off the broken bed and resigns himself to opening it on the floor, finding a stale Cake inside with a now soggy letter. He takes a bite and idly chews before finally noticing it…. His reflection in the broken mirror in front of him
Covered in Paint and Glitter with a black eye, pulling a white feather from his hair, he looks around the room at the chaos: Everything sparkles with glitter… there are some weird (that one is definitely explicit) paintings on the walls… The bed is missing a leg and the sheets are hanging out the window with multi-coloured hand prints on them… Hoop is hanging from the wall with a moustache on their face… and someone he doesn't recognise appears to be sleeping in a large pile of bottles in the corner…
"....What the Hell happened last night!?"
