"Milady, Beloved Umberlee, You have me confused. I am sorry."
"You told me this Master Heret who put up the notice was a faithful man. Fine. I accepted his offer and provided my help. And yes, I could see the love for You in his eyes, but why did he keep calling you The Company? You are no companion of his! He has come from a distant land though, I thought… you have many names after all… "
…
"no, no, not that name, I wasn't thinking about that name, I swear!"
…
"Well, when he was finally done talking, we left for the mines. And what nice companions You put on my path! The conversation was a bit difficult, I have to say. You know, them on horses, me on foot. I should probably get a cart to better serve You. Heret didn't care much about me walking. Master Faye the Elf, however, was nice to me, I think they really are making space for You in their heart. Traavor the Half-elf is very shy about his love for You. Master Pieni seems to only allow his Love to be for one God. Not sure about Master Bubbles the Tiefling.”
It's strange to me how all around me in these Dawnlands I found temples and devotion for the Holy Beings that are with us, yet so many of the adventuring types I meet are lukewarm about Them at best. You just resurrected one adventurer at the Temple after all! And I've heard Selune has done many holy things in Daring Heights. Oh well, if You say there is still space in their hearts for You, I believe it.
Anyway, the mines. Master Heret went on and on about these exclusive rites he has, but I didn't see him perform any. I did perform mine instead, just as You instructed me to! You can see the church at the stone quarry now, can't You? Good. You should visit it, seems to be abandoned now. The former priest, a Sir Hastor Janast, is likely dead, oh well. But he was so full of faith in You! They kept writing in their journal about their Lady and Queen! Surely they had much love for You"
"After the church, into the mines we went. Luckily less of a tight fit for me than I feared, to be quite honest. What a strange architecture! Very different from my expectations. Strange furniture, skulls, and blood carpets. We found the apartment Master Heret was looking for though. Or not, I’m not sure. He was very worried about open doors. Also about pretty much everything else. Through the fireplace, we got to a larger chamber, although there was a game we had to play first, I think. No matter how we got there, You were right, the undead Heret mentioned in the notice were there and needed Your help! Still, this Sir Voice Lex that talked to us and asked for our help, he really seemed not to care for You at all! Such insolence! I was about to show them my outrage, but You told me very clearly there and then that I need to help them. I heard You loud and clear: "follow this path". Please excuse my confusion.”
“Sir Voice Lex wants to move out and needs blood. A lot of it. Are you really sure they have Faith? Really? Well, at least they were a nice host and let us leave. They are happy to talk with me about Your Loving Embrace again soon, so there is that!”
