As Matches is gently woken from a peaceful nights sleep from the first rays of dawn carefully illuminating his room, he slowly gets the feeling that there are eyes watching him just as a familiar smell of smoke hits his nostrils. And sure enough as Matches scans the room he sees sitting in a chair and looking right at him a figure made entirely of black smoke with burning red eyes, but it's as this figure seemingly takes a drag from a cigar that Matches realises who it is just as the figure begins to talk.
"So when I gave you my piece of nine I told you that it was your responsibility to look after it and make sure it didn't fall into enemy hands. So where is the piece? I must ask myself, why it appears to be in enemy hands after they stole it whilst you went gallivanting off to where ever it was,but you were doing something important so I won't hold it against you. However, what I am particularly vexed by is most of the other pieces that have been stolen have been retrieved by the other Heralds and yet here I find you still in bed without a care in the world about what the enemy could be doing with something particularly cataclysmic if they use it. So are you actually going to get out of bed and do something or are you going to wait for the other Heralds to come hold your hand and do it for you?"
Vulcanax takes another drag from his cigar and continues before Matches gets a chance to respond.
"So the piece was stolen by that slimy bastard Phystal, I don't know if he has the piece but the Plane of Ooze is the best place to start, so get going."
And with that the smoky figure disperses leaving Matches alone once again.
