I can't be there this week but Grimes will present for the finale on the 11th.
This week Grimes is busy with:
1) Recovering from his wounds received battling a Slithering Tracker and a Minotaur demon last week;
2) Writing up a detailed incident report and analysis of the events last week that involved the murders of 3 innocent citizens of Daring Heights, the deaths of 3 Guards whilst doing their duty, the murder of a demon-worshipping Minotaur merchant from out of town and the death of the assassin who committed the first murder which precipitated subsequent tragic events;
3) Writing condolence letters on behalf of the Guard and Council and delivering them personally to the families / next of kin of the 3 Guards who lay down their life to protect the people of Daring;
4) Ensuring that those families/next of kin are provided from from the death in service fund that has been in place almost since Daring's creation;
5) Reviewing Guard training and procedures regarding pursuit and rules of engagement;
6) Starting a recruitment drive and reviewing selection process for Guard applicants with Captain Thundercog;
7) Suggesting fast-track promotion of suitable Guards and recommending to Captain Thundercog that the Elf Guardswoman Sylvara Rasseroth be promoted with immediate effect to the rank of Corporal having proved her aptitude, quick-wittedness and bravery on several occasions (plus ability to possess and actually use a notebook and her eyes);
8) Arrange discrete enquiries regarding the dead assassin and send a thinly veiled warning that, if there are residents in Daring that have committed crimes, the details and evidence/warrants should be provided to the Daring Heights Watch to be dealt with. Any person or organisation that deems it acceptable to send assassins to Daring Heights (with no regard to possible consequences) should be prepared to answer to Sergeant Grimes in person who, as he will be outside the boundaries of Daring Heights and indeed Kantas, will not be on duty officially not be obliged to follow the laws and code of conduct applicable to the Daring Heights Watch - he will simply be a Vengeance Paladin in a bad mood.
9) (In his spare time!) - pondering how the inevitable conflict between Granny and Nowhere can be managed with minimal impact to the innocent citizens of Daring Heights (the people of this town have suffered enough). Obviously - those that have chosen a side are committed to action - but that better be outside the town limits!

Amazing. We'll keep a seat for you. Also, that was close enough to a write-up for me that Grimes will have an Inspiration point for the finale.
