A note is pinned to the board.
"Adventurers of the Three-Headed Ettin,
It has come to our attention that some of you have uncovered a Yuan-Ti cult gathering in Kantas in the mountains to the West. This cannot be allowed to persist.
I am authorised to grant 100 gold pieces to any adventurer willing to venture out and combat this Yuan-Ti menace. We haven't seen any sign of them so far, but they are masters of biding their time.
Good luck, Harold
Secretary to Mayor Willum Daffles"

Hoooooo boy, Erik will be there for this one! [IRL: I'll be there even if I need to acquire huskies and a sledge to get home).

Varis will join you both in this. Perhaps once we have dealt with the snake men, we can convince the mayor to turn his attention to the necromancers in the north woods. Blood and iron, gentlemen. In Tyr's holy name.

A well-known bard walks looking not at all like his normal self. In place of a well groomed shock-white goatee you see a good few weeks worth of beard growth. It looks like he may have tried shaving his new beard himself and has done so in a poor manner, it is lopsided and uncouth. He sways slightly as he reads the noteboard.
"What'vewegot heere? A new cult hey? Perhaps some air and company is what I need..."
He scrawls an elaborate cursive name on the note - 'Leocanto'.
"Countmeinn."

It has been a while since Rholor has been at the Ettin now that his priestly duties have been starting to stack up. Nonetheless, as per fate, this night he decided to visit the tavern where he once spent most of his days. As he enters the room he notices a familiar figure groggily staring at the notice board - is that Leo? Rholor immediately retreats to a dark corner and sees how his friend, of whom he heard no news of in several weeks has apparently made a drunken appearance. After he leaves, Rholor approaches the board.
"Huh.... Yuan-ti is it?" - upon closer inspection he notices Val's name there as well - "... What are you guys doing with you lives...?"
Rholor quickly scribbles his name on the note and hastily leaves the tavern with thoughts of concern in the back of his mind.

I suppose I better have a hand in clearing up a mess I'm partially responsible for.

considering I have set out on this quest twice already and still haven't seen an end to this sneaky snake society slivering slowly for the sake of the suppression of civil citizens... I feel I must also offer my war-hammer in this quest.

Ok, I'll look to run this on Tuesday. The Ship is not free unfortunately, so we're just settling on a location and will let you know. The Argyle is still undergoing refurbishment (hopefully done soon)

Sadly Varis can not longer join you hunting snakes. Perhaps another time, friends.
