I was wondering if anyone knew of, used, or have experience of an online mapping tool that we could all access to be able to update the Kantas map as we go along? It would be nice to be able to have an online representation of the "Inn Table" for us to all scratch in.
Just a thought anyway.

Love the idea, couldn't find any online tools from a quick search. Anyone else better at searching the interwebs, or perhaps used something before?

Hi all. Manaia's suggestion gave me an idea. Taking the google drawings idea, I have created a blank map in google drawings that I have made editable and viewable by anyone without the need to log in to the account. At the top of the map is a series of clipart images of common landmark types. (Although I would like to take credit, I didnt draw them). If people want to drop those images onto the map where they think relevant (preferably copy and pasting from the image selections along the top) and then label the landmark. Anyone who wants to free hand draw on the map is more than welcome to of course. The link is here: docs.google.com/drawings/d/11FixDVdlErt5uxBmn4kfCHP1xk2HiooNU5JPOsLRofo/edit?usp=sharingPlease give feedback if this works for everyone or not, and if anyone has any other suggestions on a more refined solution let us know. If we are happy to settle on this solution we can make it more prominent in the Forum. Cheers, Derek

I have made editable and viewable by anyone without the need to log in to the account. Are you implying you had to log in for mine? that would be weird, I thought I had set it correct. not that it matters. I like your map! The only issue that might come up is that the scale might not really work out? if the inn is that big, how big is the city then? it will make for a huge map. We could easily just rename the inn icon to be the city itself and that would fix it all. Details: we can maybe put the icons in a box with a "legend" title, and maybe add a compass as well?

Hi Manaia,
Sorry no didnt mean that implication, I didnt need to log in to access yours - you had all of it set correctly. Great ideas on both the renaming of the inn and adding the Legend and compass!

For what it's worth - Andy confirmed that Daring Heights is roughly 1 mile across. So the village can take up about one square/hex/space in a 1 mile grid.

I had a crack a using Hexographer. Quite pretty but not open for multiple users to edit, unless we share the original Hex file. drive.google.com/open?id=0B-bd9Hasfbe6R0NXS0E5Njd2bVEScale I've used is 1hex:1mile, distances are rough and based off the session write ups or my gut feeling... Enjoy!

Hexographer looks good and could be more practical in terms of what can be covered in the space. Any other players have a preference? I would be happy to go with whatever the majority wants to adopt.

Personally I like the Hex map but can it be edited by multi users ? Its a big job for only 1 person. Im a bit dense when it comes to these things.

I personally like the idea of having both open. Hexographer is easy to use but can't really be edited by multiple users. Google Docs isn't as pretty but makes it much easier to co-edit and I can then use that to update the hexmap every now and then (ideally once a week).

we can probably share the hex files though? maybe even version them?
the developer in me says we could even use git.
Having both is probably the best idea though yeah
